Challenge
Contact between forklifts and pedestrians is an area of high risk for site leadership and EH&S professionals. One of our customers wanted to ensure that proper distances were being maintained in their shipping and receiving department, where pedestrians and fork trucks often come in close contact.
Goal
Our use case, Dynamic Delimitation, can track and evaluate distances between two moving objects like people and fork trucks. Using our model, our customers wanted to view their trends in pedestrian and forklift interaction. With this new data available, they could then prioritize actions to reduce exposures.
Our model was set to their preferred distance, and data was tracked continuously to help leaders coach their employees. Using our dynamic delimitation model, they were able to decrease forklift pedestrian interaction by over 75% in just one month, significantly reducing the risk of an accident.
