FORWARD DEPLOYED ENGINEERING
On-site engineering for
high-risk operations.
Forward Deployed Engineering brings Intenseye engineers on site to map how work actually happens, validate high-risk workflows, connect to your controls, and configure the right solution for your environment.

On site
Engineers observe the real workflow, environment, and risk points firsthand.
Connected to your controls
Integrated with the PLCs, systems, and infrastructure your operation already runs.
Built for hard-stop logic
Configured for the moments where detection needs to trigger physical intervention.
Adapted to your floor
Calibrated around your zones, workflows, equipment, and operating reality.
What is Forward Deployed Engineering?
Intenseye engineers embed on your floor to understand real operating conditions, validate assumptions where work actually happens, and adapt the solution to your operation - for complex, high-risk environments where safety, operations, and production have to move together. It's how we deliver when a standard deployment isn't enough.

Even mature safety programs still have exposure.
Lockout-tagout, machine guarding, PLC controls, training, and audits all reduce risk. But real-time decisions, workarounds, and human-machine interactions still create exposure on the floor. Forward Deployed Engineering finds those live risk points and configures Intenseye around how the work actually happens.
We build from the floor up.
Map the real workflow
Walk the line, observe normal and abnormal work, and identify where people, machines, contractors, and timing pressure create exposure.
Reduce to first principles
Translate the risk into clear detection logic, thresholds, zones, and response rules before the system is configured.
Connect and validate
Integrate with cameras, PLCs, and site systems, then test against live conditions until the workflow is accurate and usable.
Hand over the system
Document the deployment, train the team, and leave behind a working system built around your operation, not a generic template.
FEATURED ENGAGEMENT
On the floor at CRH
Americas Building Products.
CRH ran a mature safety program - lockout-tagout, machine guarding, PLC controls, training, audits. The exposure wasn't missing controls; it was the risk created by real-time decisions despite them. Our engineers embedded on site, prioritized the highest-severity human–machine zones, and integrated directly with existing PLC-based controls - so a detection now becomes a physical machine stop in about 0.8 seconds.

"The Intenseye team approached this project with a level of care and operational respect that is rare in technology deployments - a true partnership built on trust."
Bob MalinVP of EHS, Oldcastle APGThe hardest human–machine challenges.
Our engineers embed where human-machine exposure is highest, from packaging and paper to building materials and distribution. They work on site to understand the workflow, validate the risk, and configure Intenseye around how the operation actually runs.

When a light curtain isn't enough.
Some reach-in risks are too specific for standard guarding alone. The line still has to run, the task still has to happen, and a hand can never enter the danger point. Our engineers map the motion on site, tune Sentinel Depth to the task, and connect the stop logic to the machine controls.
It knows a hand from a stick.
Our engineers build a 3D danger plane around the machine and tune it to recognize what crosses it - so the line stops for a person reaching in, not for the product moving through.
A deployment built with your team.
Forward Deployed Engineering stays close to the work from first pilot to broader rollout. We configure the system around your floor, install it to your standards, validate it in production, and leave your team with a deployment they can trust and scale.
Configured to your operation
Built around your machines, workflows, zones, and risk logic. Not a one-size-fits-all deployment.
Installed to site standards
Hardware installed on site with your safety, IT, and facilities requirements accounted for.
Validated past go-live
Our engineers stay involved through pilot, tuning, and production use, not just launch day.
Ready to scale
Once the workflow is proven, the system is documented so it can expand across lines, sites, and facilities.
